On May 4th, 2017 the ceremony of presentation of the Letters of Credence by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan Erkinkhon Rahmatullozoda to His Royal Highness the Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg was held.
After the completion of the ceremony Ambassador of Tajikistan had an interesting dialog with the Grand Duke. Ambassador Rahmatullozoda conveyed the warm greetings of the President Emomali Rahmon and reminded to the Head of Luxembourg about the official visits of the President of Tajikistan to this beautiful country of Europe. “The Grand Duchy – said the Ambassador – is particularly memorable to us, for it was here, in Your country, Your Royal Highness, that in 2004 the Partnership and Cooperation Agreement between the European Union and Tajikistan was signed, which opened new horizons of cooperation between us”. Grand Duke Henri asked the Ambassador to convey his warm wishes to the Head of our state.
During his stay in Luxembourg, the Ambassador of Tajikistan met with the Vice-President of the European Investment Bank Vasil Hudak, during which the projects and programs of effective cooperation between our country and this influential financial institution were discussed.
The European Investment Bank as one of our priority partners in funding national and international energy projects, including CASA-1000, once again confirmed its commitment to the development and expansion of relations with Tajikistan.
A number of other meetings of the Ambassador with the heads of relevant departments of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Luxembourg were dedicated to the topical issues of cooperation between Tajikistan and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, thus creating a real basis for their further development, which will undoubtedly bring good results.
